Brewin Dolphin does not offer its own financial products so advisers can usually recommend investments and pensions from a restricted range of providers.
Brewin Dolphin offer a range of services, from helping people invest themselves through their online systems to providing ongoing financial advice over the long term. Many clients do not have the experience or confidence to make significant financial decisions and choose to receive financial advice.
However, there is a cost to this option. Initial meetings may be free of charge but when investing, and each year thereafter, fees will apply. This annual fee is based on a percentage of the value of funds invested in pensions and investments. In order to provide the ongoing service promised Brewin Dolphin advisers must conduct a review with each client every year to ensure the products they hold are still suitable. If this does not happen then we believe the fee charged should be refunded.
